Article ID: Q731390

Category: FAQ - How To

The information in this article applies to:

  • versaSRS v7
  • Case Access

When opening a Case there is no ability to edit as it is in a Read-Only state.

This is a security feature in versaSRS to prevent unauthorised Users from making changes to Cases.

Sometimes, a Case will be in this mode because it is locked, this is to ensure data integrity and prevent two Users actioning a Case at the same time.

Write access (the ability to edit) can be granted by assigning a Security Profile with the required permissions to the User in the Team.

The Security Profiles are managed by selecting the versaSRS Spinner Icon > Security > Manage Security Profiles.

versaSpinner Manage Security Profiles Icon

The Security Profiles will only come into affect when they are assigned to a User at the Team level.

To assign a Security Profile to a user in a Team select the versaSRS Spinner Icon > Administrators tab > Manage Teams > Select Team > User Skill Groups > Select User > Select Security Profile > Apply.
