Adding an Email address to versaSRS using Exchange 2010 Distribution Group Method

Ensure you have a Team set up in versaSRS with the primary address set to the email account you wish to receive mail from, and that in the Global Settings 'ApplyDefaultQueue' is set to 'Do not assign email to the default queue'.

Open The Exchange Management Console and select Recipient Configuration in the left pane, then right click on “Distribution Group” and select “New Distribution Group”.

1. Select New Group, then press Next

2. Select Distribution as the Group Type

3. Specify the Organisational Unit to be “Distribution Groups”

4. Enter the Name and Alias of the Distribution Group (The alias will be what becomes the email address)

5. Click New and the group will be created, then click Finish

6. Double Click on the Distribution Group you have just created

7. Click on the Members tab, and select the account you would like the group email account to be a member of (ie; the main versaSRS mailbox)

8. Click on the Advanced tab, and select “Do not send delivery reports”

9. Click on the E-mail Addresses tab, and add the distribution group email account address if it isn’t already added. This should be the default address. Uncheck the “Automatically update e-mail addresses based on e-mail address policy”
